NOVEMBER 1997 PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Hi everyone,

I hope everyone and their families are well.

At our last meeting we had the pleasure of having Bob Torkova as our
lecturer.

He is not only a nice person, but a great Performer.  For those of you who could not make it, you missed a fine lecture.  Bob showed us simple effects that everyone could learn to do (even me!).  We also spoke about the Web page that Kevin is designing for our Assembly.  Kevin handed out information sheets to each member.   Please take a few minutes and fill them out and return them to him at the next meeting.  I have extra sheets if anyone needs one.

A few members of our Assembly were selling "Entertainment 98" books to raise money for our club.  This program was set up by Wally Libenson. We receive $5 per book sold.  To date they have raised $200.  Larry Slezak sold 20 books himself. Great Job everyone.

Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 1997 at Central Hudson, we will start promptly at 7:00PM with our pre meeting workshop.  It will be on "Turkey" magic.  If you have any magic you bought that you cannot figure out or have no patter for bring it in.  You never know what could happen.  The main part of the meeting will be on Christmas magic.  We need people to volunteer to do 1 or 2 effects, so please call me and let me know you would like to help.

See you at the Meeting

May all your days be circus days!

DECEMBER 1997 PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Hi everyone!

I hope everybody and their families are well.

At our last meeting we had members bring in "Holiday Magic."  I would like to thank everyone who participated.  It is great to see and learn show tested routines from other performers.  Again thank you for participation.

On the weekend of November 8th and 9th, some club members and their families took a trip to see "Le Grand David," a Magical extravaganza in Beverly, Massachusetts.   We saw one show Saturday and one show Sunday.  They also treated us to a tour of the theater and its archives.  It was an awesome experience!  If anybody has not seen these shows and has the opportunity, go see them.  The costumes, props and sets are amazing.

T.T.F.N. (Ta Ta For Now)
See you at the meeting.
May All Your Days Be Circus Days!
