S.A.M. Al Baker Assemby #35
March 2007
Dear Compeers,
As I type this latest installment of Presidents words I have been trying to
get out of the house for 4 hours. E-mails, mail, paying bills, laundry and
other daily chores have piled up and I’m finally completely dug out, except
for the banking and grocery shopping. Not that writing this is a chore, you
know I love you folks!
A couple of important items; we have amassed the funds needed to send a kid to
magic camp, but we haven’t discussed the logistics of how or who. I implore
(beg) all of you to consider this; otherwise the decision is left up to me and
heaven knows I don’t want to be the dictator of Assembly 35 (we all know how
that can turn out). I have a few ideas of my own and will lay them out along
with any other thoughts or suggestions from the rest of the club.
Last month I thought a thumb-tip workshop might be fun, so let’s actually do
it this month. So make sure you bring your “fake thumbs” I have also been
asked to tip some of my work on the Malini egg bag, so if anyone is interested
in that I can give a quick workshop on some of the touches and techniques that
have become a part of my preparation and routine, so if you have a Malini egg
bag, bring that too.
Next month we will be holding our meeting off schedule on Monday April 23rd to
accommodate a lecture from Boris Wild, so
mark your calendars!
Well that’s about that, I’m looking forward to seeing everyone next week for a
productive and magical time.
Magically Yours,
Carlo
